Dr Serafin Weigt is a lecturer for the course “Practice of Auditing” since the summer semester of 2026. After completing his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration and Economics, with specializations in Accounting & Auditing and Management & Controlling, Dr Weigt worked as a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Chair of Accounting and Auditing at Ulm University (Chair Holder: Professor Dr. Kai-Uwe Marten). During this time, he gained experience in university teaching and published several articles in German journals.
After successfully completing his empirical doctoral dissertation, Dr Weigt joined Deloitte GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in 2020. He was certified as a German Public Auditor in 2025 and conducts audits of annual and consolidated financial statements for both publicly listed companies and medium-sized enterprises in Germany.
