Professor Christopher Koch

 

Christopher Koch is Professor of Corporate Governance and Auditing at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, a position he has held since 2013. He studied, completed his doctorate, and obtained his habilitation at the University of Mannheim.

He received the Mannheim Business School Teaching Award in 2021. In 2024, he was awarded the ACA Prize of the University of St. Gallen in the tradition of the Dr. Kausch Prize for outstanding auditing research.

His research has been published in The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Accounting, Organizations and Society, Review of Accounting Studies, and European Accounting Review, among others.

He has served as Associate Editor of European Accounting Review since 2020. He previously served as Associate Editor of Behavioral Research in Accounting (2017–2020) and Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory (2023–2026).

He is a member of the Scientific Committees of the European Auditing Research Network (EARNet) and the European Network for Experimental Accounting Research (ENEAR).
